TIMING BELT CHANGE: New Gates timing and serpentine belts, new water pump, new idler roller, new studs, new serpentine belt tensioner (whole thing), new timing belt tensioner, all new (necessary) hardware, new camshaft sprocket and seal. Fuel pump retimed with VAG-COM to "slightly retarded" setting and ECM was happy (it was too rich after timing belt change).
Other maintenance: new intercooler, new (red) poly sway bar bushings (it stopped the creaking in the front end!!). New rear brake pads and new caliper in the driver rear. Parking cable armature filled with grease to keep road debris and water from seizing up mechanism and helper springs added to also help keep brakes from dragging.
