Started when ground was still wet, conditions quickly improved with sun and wind. Planted 67.5 A and finished the field. Planted out the F2F 2.9 seed and used 60# and 6 bags (46.6#/bag-3010 seed/#) of F2F 2.5 seed. 2.9 variety was planted at ~227 k population. C. rye was thicker than HN, had thin spots (flooding, poor fertility) but should have a much better response to crimping.
