Planted Wensink 2914 GT treated soybeans. No-tilled into 3-4 foot cereal rye. #19 setting estimated planting of 2600 seeds/# @ 209 population. Depth press wheels set to 3rd notch from shallowest. Rolling harrow set with light pressure. Down pressure on disk openers not increased (same as Home South). Coulter cart depth at 7-8. Soil still borderline wet. No mud stuck to tractor tires but did on drill drive wheels and press wheels. Press wheels had a hard time closing trenches in wheel tracks. Roller crimper may help cover seed later. Started at 1:30 after dew was evaporated. ~39 A planted, west of Steiger lot planted, Steiger headland and one swath back to Smokey Rd. planted. South headland was not planted due to wet SE corner. Majority of the rye laid down, roller crimper will finish the rest of standing rye easily. Field was smooth enough to plant in 11th gear at 5.5 mph.
